Lake Wakatipu is the third largest in New Zealand being 80 km long and covering 293 km. It averages 300m deep for over half it’s length it’s temperature ranges from 8 degrees Celsius to 10 degrees Celsius. A number of high country rivers and streams run into the lake making this an excellent fishery for Quinnat Salmon, Brown and Rainbow Trout.
