The Degustation Tour is a food and wine matching experience not to be missed. The tour starts with a bite sized food and wine pairing, exclusive to NZ Wine Tours and destigned by the acclaimed Chef Brendan. Then we will have a lovely scenic drive through the Kawarau Gorge to Wild Earth’s

Restaurant located at the historic Kawarau Goldfields. There you will enjoy a tasting array of five dishes that have been cooked in a wine barrel BBQ, matched to five wines. After lunch the tour continues through to the Cromwell Basin and Bannockburn where we visit 2 more wineries, chosen on the day to suit your tastes.

This is a combined sight-seeing and wine tour that is tailored to suit the tastes of everyone on board and includes many scenic stops to admire the view and capture the exceptional scenery of this world famous region. We typically start with a one and a half hour scenic drive over the Crown Range, stopping at a number of scenic look-outs to admire the view, including stopping at the historic Cardrona Hotel. The first winery is the world famous Rippon Winery in Wanaka (pictured left), after which we continue our drive through to the Cromwell Basin and Bannockburn where we have lunch. The tour includes a platter lunch of local and seasonal delights. After lunch we visit 2 more wineries and drive back to Queenstown through the stunning Kawarau Gorge.
